After a bit of research I decided to add some more genealogy specific software to the site. I have installed PhpGedView which is a Database type of program. Essentially it is a full blown genealogy program running on the site. For those of you just looking anonymously you will now not be able to see any living persons names or information. At this time none of this type of software integrates well with the software that is running the main site so unfortunately everyone will now have two logins to access the site. You can use the same username and password for both if you like. You will be able to bookmark both sections and go directly to the genealogy section though. Regardless once you request access to the site and provide a bit of information and are granted access to the database you will then be able to see all the people in the database. This gives us a bit of control on what is out on the web.
One of the nice things about this software is that you can do full searches of the database, view the information in many different chart styles, view different types of lists and reports etc.
Once things are finalized people will be able to request permission to have an "Edit" account and will be able to edit information in the database and it will be entered into the database once it is approved by someone with administration rights or accept rights.
